Ever had that burning desire to change? Change yourself, your environment, your room, the people you work with, the way you dress... The list can grow long!!!
Well, have you? I have... And I do daily... And for that I have been characterized as irresponsible, uninterested, unable to commit, an adrenaline junky, a risk-taker, and many more; very few of those comments where ever meant to be flattering or supportive. Nonetheless, I never defended myself, because I still don't think there is something to defend. As I don't go around busting other people's balls - excuse my language - I expect other's to treat me the same way.
Alas, this is a dream. You see, I live in a country where being different, or not following the proven way is, from some aspect, prohibited. You cannot be an entrepreneur where I come from, but you can be an innovative person simply by suppressing yourself to abide to the stupid, mindnumbing rules that they set... All around Europe they are over and done with these issues, and deal with other, no less trivial but still other problems, and we bother ourselves with dress codes, age standards, and status quo.
And all this has come where it is because people who desired and promoted change were treated as pariahs, and eventually became graphic and finally outcasts... Well, I have a bachelor's, and I am in the process of acquiring a master's and I look forward for a third degree, while working at the same time, and I say that it is time for us to step up again, and claim our right to change... After all, revolutions and changes start from small things...
